Member of the Johannesburg Bar. Formerly an associate in the construction and project finance practice of Webber Wentzel.
Qualified in law (LLB, LLM) and BSc Electrical Engineering. Member of the SA Institute of Electrical Engineers and admitted to the New York Bar. Practice focussed on construction and related commercial matters in adjudications, arbitrations and litigation.
Recent appointments include, amongst others:
Representing an EPC contractor and O&M contractor in arbitration and expert proceedings against the Owner of an 82 MW photovoltaic facility in disputes relating to performance ratio, PLDs and defects.
Representing a state-owned utility in NEC3 adjudication and arbitration proceedings resisting contractor claims in relation to the construction of port facilities.
Representing a state-owned utility in FIDIC DAB proceedings in relation to coal fired power plants.
