The field of practice includes expertise in the building, construction, civil, mining and process engineering environments include the following sectors: hotels, retail mall and ancillary facilities, residential developments, road and bridge construction, pipe lines, fire suppression systems, oil, coal, process engineering and sewage treatment plants, electrical and piping installations, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, mining infrastructure and development, laboratory equipment installations, materials handling, railway overhead traction equipment and power generation facilities
Prior to being called to the bar in 2015, Donald was a professional architect and practiced for eight years at which time he was involved in a multi-disciplinary environment, in both the parastatal and private sector for eight years. After which he become solely involved in construction and engineering contracts, claims and disputes in South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East for a period of 11 years. Donald has practiced as an arbitrator and adjudicator since 2001.
