Michael is a member of the Cape Bar and Johannesburg Society of Advocates. He holds chambers in Cape Town and Johannesburg. He is a former practising attorney with four years of post-article experience in the commercial litigation department of a reputable medium-sized firm in Cape Town.
Michael’s practice consists mainly of insolvency-related work, company law, business rescue proceedings, commercial law, and financial services.
Michael is regularly briefed to represent the liquidators of insolvent companies and large Ponzi-type schemes, which include the liquidators appointed to some of the country’s largest Ponzi-type and multiplication schemes. He is also regularly briefed by liquidators, trustees, and creditors as the evidence leader of confidential commission of enquiries and public insolvency enquiries.
