Qualified Chartered Accountant and remain a member of SAICA. I originally completed my articles for Athur Andersen and Company and then joined KPMG where I worked in the Audit Division. Since joining the Bar I appear regularly in Tax matters (VAT and Income Tax) for the taxpayer against SARS. My commercial practice entails general commercial litigation with some emphasis on Company and Insolvency law (Having lectured the same for the University of Witwatersrand for 3 years). Due to my financial background I have appeared in multiple personal injury matters both for and against the RAF and medical practitioners where large and complicated quantum claims are involved. In terms of academic background I have actively been involved in lecturing on a part time basis for the University of the Witwatersrand and UNISA in the areas of commercial law, insolvency law, civil procedure and Tax.
