Whilst William’s practice at the Bar specializes in Construction and Arbitration Law, and generally in Contract, Commercial Law and Mining Law, it also extends to Administrative Law, Pension Law, Professional Negligence, Insurance Law and Labour Law.

William’s specialisation in construction matters has involved all aspects of construction claims across a broad spectrum of disputes, including delay and disruption to works, variations, defects in design and construction, unlawful termination of contracts and a variety of insurance and construction guarantee disputes in a variety of different sectors, including in relation to roads, railway lines, power stations, airports, harbours, buildings, bridges, various manufacturing and extrusion plants and refractories, paving, tunnelling, waterproofing, geotechnical and geological issues, mechanical engineering contracts, sulphuric acid plants, dredging, issues relating to concrete, piping and instrumentation, reinforcement, piling, foundations and factories.

Brief Curriculum Vitae

Prior to being called to the Bar in 1998, William practised as an attorney at a leading firm of attorneys. William appeared in numerous matters as sole counsel and with leading silks, including 28 cases reported in the official law reports, before being recommended for silk in 2017. William continues to be briefed as lead counsel, including in a number of large international arbitrations with seats in London, Paris and Gaborone. William has accepted numerous appointments to act as arbitrator and adjudicator in a variety of construction and other commercial disputes.
