Consumer protection laws protects the rights of consumers against discriminatory and reckless lending practices. The Consumer Protection Act has had a significant impact on the way in which suppliers and consumers do business, and some of the rights of consumers protected include amongst others; the right to privacy, the right to choose, the right to disclosure of information, the right to accountability for suppliers, the right to fair and honest dealing, etc.
